It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. I think that’s how the saying goes, but when it comes to the end of a relationship, there is a lingering pain that will subside in due time.
Mark Kross crafts a song that tries to capture the emotions of someone going through a breakup that was unexpected. His newest single is entitled, Fallin’, and for good reason. It plays to the effects of love, being in love and that love being taken away in an instant. The time that was invested was wasted away, now there is an empty feeling inside your heart.
The words I heard you speak
Cut the ear off me
And now I’m left to bleed
His songwriting on Fallin’ was engaging, due to its relatability of heartbreak. It’s a common theme that everyday people go through, in hopes of reversing the trend.
