There aren’t too many artists who can make songs that are so relatable to the average person, that it takes you on a trip down memory lane. Cigarettes on Patios (remix) by BabyJake and 24kGoldn is a certified track that will have you thinking about the good ole days, memorable nights of getting faded with your friends and repeating the cycle. From the name alone, I can remember a ton of college parties and drinking to the point where I blacked out 1 time. This is one of those songs to let loose and free your mind of any stress that may be going on in your life.
The timeline that we are taken on during the song is such a routine, he even details a party shut down by cops and heading to the next party on the block. If that isn’t college life or just the party life, I don’t know what is. He captures the essence of being young, wild and free of responsibilities in the world. Life is our oyster and we have to do what makes us happy. Even if we mess up, there are lessons we can learn to improve as we navigate through life. BabyJake is having a good time and wants us all to do the same. Hell, if you've been in a stressful situation for a long time, these are some of the nights that are needed to relieve that stress.
