Disdazie- Locked In (ft. Rhett Hayes & Jadon Seall) [Track Review]

Written by Miles Monroe II

Hailing from DC, Disdazie has a sound that undoubtedly stands alone. From his debut project, Seasons, a standout track that I'd like to highlight is "Locked In", featuring artists: Rhett Hayes and Jadon Seall. The song's message pairs very well with the smoothness of the production, especially the guitar licks that are present throughout.

This is an artist who pays attention to detail, from the intent of his lyrics to the features that were chosen. Everyone on the track understood the assignment and brought out the best in each other. I was highly impressed with how he found his pocket within the track and let his flow take over.

He has a great ear for music and I can see that his talent goes beyond rapping. This song is intentional and straight forward with its message, that no matter what the circumstances are, you have to stay locked in on your vision. I appreciate songs like these, they're a break from the norm in hip hop today.

He is still new on the scene, but "Locked In" serves as a good intro into the artist known as Disdazie.
