Yo, let’s just be real with ourselves… There’s something about good trap music that just gets you going! Listen, 95% of us are not living the “life” that is being portrayed on most trap record, but gah damn, that doesn’t take away from the sheer fire those joints can put in your belly. ‘King Tut,’ produced by Honorable C.N.O.T.E. has a melodic motif that never feels played out or monotonous as the track progresses.
On top of that, the percussion knocks just enough that it rocks your car speakers, but mixed just well enough for Hardrock’s voice to still dominate the track. Hardrock’s delivery flat-out floats on this record, and exerts mad confidence. Have you ever watched Scarface? That feeling you get watching Tony Montana rule the world is the same way you’ll feel listening to this.
