Carefree living is all anybody could really want because there’d be no more stress. Through their instrumental alone, Joe August, Heather Chelan, and Betty Michaels wash away any stress or worries you may have. Their latest single, Carefree, is a breezy new summer track that comes at the right time. In the current climate, there is little room to be without stress. With just one 3-minute track, they provide a level of calm that helps set the mood for the rest of the day.
Joe’s flow is in the same vein as a smooth talker who could piss on you and convince you that it is raining. All three artists do an exceptional job of creating their own lane on Carefree, standing out individually but also unified. This is what a song about being without care should sound like, a reminder that life is too short to live with so much stress. There’s no doubt that there are things in life you can’t avoid, such as death and taxes, but the idea of life is to find that balance in your happiness. Joe, Heather, and Betty bring that energy where you can just let your hair down and relax, for however long you need.
