Here at SwanoDown, we listen to a ton of music on a DAILY basis. And during these days, of course, there are standout tracks. Below you'll find the 10 compositions we feel you should check out tonight, (or soon). We find these artists to be the most cutting-edge. And oh yeah, this is in no particular order... You decide!
Compositionally gifted artists like Medium Build, Kenny Cash, and Holy Hand Grenade, are all featured today.
Adithya- Forever
The melodies and and rhythmically superior percussion, make for an undeniably gorgeous sound.
Medium Build- Another Man
Damn. Want to talk about soundscape? Storytelling? Vigorous singing? This piece can compete with the best of them. I've cried and danced to this.
Openness- Rush Off
This composition has the ability to create relaxing, subtle, and beautiful vibes. The vocals don't have much inflection, and that works perfectly for this atmosphere. The drums are insane, and beyond professional throughout. Oh, and that Mac Demarco-esque guitar does wonders.
Daniel Jones- Take Your Time
You have to appreciate the raw and acoustic enviornment that Daniel provides us. He truly brings you in the room.
Cheap Monk- Mirador
Dope old-school vibes. I could hear an assortment of talented artists tearing this track up.
Holy Hand Grenade- Be Easy
The Pink Panther vibes are real in the opening moments of this piece. A lot of suspense and mystery derives from the start. But one thing that isn't a mystery are the head-nods this joint will stir.
Vishal Naidu- Evenfall
I'm sure many of you are familiar with the intimate concert series, Sofar Sounds. If not, I recommend you check out some of their performances. 'Evenfall' sounds like a beautiful interlude piece you'd hear during one of those shows. Something that'll ease you into an equally elegant tune.
Chinara- Eternity
Yes. Yes. Yes. Turn the lights off, grab a glass, now dive into these sultry lyrics, and humming bassline. "Stay with me. Stay for Eternity."
Shane Sato- Fleeting Love
Shaen's love may be fleeting, but not his talent. Yeah, that talent is fully intact. The precision in his playing is clear as day, and makes for an enjoyable piece of work.
Kenny Cash- Magenta
Such mature tones permeate from Kenny Cash's 'Magenta.' Get comfortable around the fireplace, or stroll into your favorite lounge. Hot Coffee? Wine? You decide.
Hagiga- Don Avignion
This is the first bonus track we've featured. We had to feature this sextet, as this style of Jazz is the very essence of Volume 3. Hagiga shows astounding musicianship on this piece.
