Curated by Sytcr
Here at SwanoDown, we listen to a ton of music on a DAILY basis. And during these days, of course, there are standout tracks. Below you'll find the 10 compositions we feel you should check out tonight, (or soon). We find these artists to be the most cutting-edge. And oh yeah, this is in no particular order... You decide!
Compositionally elevated songs by artists like Joachim Horsley, Clara Lars, and Kiki Diago, are all featured today.

LonelyTwin - More Than On My Mind

A dreamy indie/electro pop track with an incredibly catchy hook! The vocal performance by LonelyTwin was phenomenal all-around and very heartfelt. Songs that can combine darker emotions over positive-sounding sounds and instrumentals are some of the most fascinating contrasts within music, and LonelyTwin executed this perfectly on her track “More Than On My Mind”.

Kiki Diago - Old Ways

Kiki Diago’s “Old Ways” combines a lot of ideas from R&B and alternative Pop/Rock. The vocal performance on this track was very impressive. Kiki Diago delivers a smooth and dynamic style with a good amount of energy behind the vocals. The guitars, alongside the synths in the instrumental were also beautiful and truly showed how well the genres that inspired this piece work together.

Magro x Leona Berlin - Never Let You Down

This record sounds like it belongs in the disco. The elements of this song are so danceable and smooth that it would be hard to not move to this one. The vocals match the style and complement the groove perfectly. All in all, the aforementioned makes a very solid track.

Aliyah Lanay – 22

The instrumental on this track feels ethereal. This song doesn’t follow a traditional structure in regards to sound, and travels to a lot of different ideas in a short amount of time. Lanay provides a great performance as well to bring all of these positive features together nicely.

Blue Thief – Piece

This track is incredibly chill. The essence of late-night vibes shines in a big way on this record. The detuned vocals bring a lot of ambiences to this track and allows for the calming nature to genuinely be present.

Freedust x Saphie Wells - Take Me There

This track is very calming. The artists deliver an entertaining performance over a minimalistic instrumental. One thing that I personally enjoyed was the modulating chord progression in the choruses. Little touches such as that can make a track more engaging for listeners.

Day1 - MBAPPÉ (feat. KAHUKX)

“MBAPPÉ” is a high energy Hip-Hop record that has some undeniably great moments. The instrumental here has a very smooth vibe and both artists do an incredible job adding personality to this record.

Joachim Horsley - Martinique Nocturne

This piece is a beautiful amalgamation of instrumental genres from around the world. There are hints of Cuban Montuno, Puerto Rican Bomba, Salsa, and Jazz within this piece. This track stays fresh throughout and shows off the chemistry and professionalism between all musicians featured in “Martinique Nocturne”.

Rosie Darling - Golden Age

“Golden Age” is a very light-sounding pop track that has an incredibly pleasant atmosphere. Rosie gives us a great performance, and the engineering elements in terms of mixing are immensely clean. Simply said, this an enjoyable track.

Clara Lars - Don't Leave

Clara Lars delivers an exceedingly introspective breakup record with “Don’t Leave”. Clara’s vocals on this record were beautiful and exhibited a lot of emotion, which is one of the more challenging things to do when performing music within this style.
