SWANO'S 10 [VOLUME 3] PT.46

Curated by Imani Wj Wright
Here at SwanoDown, we listen to a ton of music on a DAILY basis. And during these days, of course, there are standout tracks. Below you'll find the 10 compositions we feel you should check out tonight (or soon). We find these artists to be the most cutting-edge. And oh yeah, this is in no particular order... You decide!
Compositionally elevated songs by artists such as La Pix, Tonii, and De Moi, are all featured today.

Pascal Junior x Bastien- Gone

This piece has a genuine energy to it. The track gets you moving, but the lyrics may cause a bit of juxtaposing emotions.

Tonii- Indulge

This piece reminds me of some of Lauryn Hill's acoustic work. Though, Tonii has her own vocal style. Tonii's voice pierces through your speakers and captures you you with beautiful pitch-control.

La Pix x De Moi- Against the Sea

This piece is cinematic. i imagine myself on the ocean, in a modest boat, breezy conditions, looking out into the deep blue, contemplating my next steps in life...

Tio- Saturn

This piece is FUNKY! The confidence in the vocals give you the essence of someone like a Bootsy Collins.

Skengyola x RXY- Again and Again

You can turn this on at a bunch of parties, with varying demographics, and people are going to move their bodies to this!

Munboi- BOREDOM

I'm hearing some Don Toliver influence on this record. Though, what really makes "BOREDOM" standout is the avant-garde production style. They're some oxymoronic qualities here.

Heartbeats & Hand Grenades- That Compound Sound

I'm digging the motion of this piece and how jazzy it is. The guitar solo on this joint is crazy too! The moment if truly fulfilled with this record.

Rob Wallace- So Danco Samba

Aw man! It may be time for me to take a vacation. I'm put in a great place when this record is on. Whether I'm in my house or in the car, this is a gleefully feeling composition!

Jewelia Plays The Piano- Under the Cherry Tree

The Professionalism shown here is so very deep. Every note feels like it is played with great precision. That can not be understated.

YuMe- Incompleteness

I just don't know how to feel while I'm listening to this record. The title and overall somberness that YuMe displays is somewhat somber, but nonetheless leaves your mind in a needed space to ponder. Good thoughts? Unwanted thoughts? Who's to say?
