This retro soul, neo-soul, and funk track opens with a strong, cinematic intro complete with an early-morning ABC News clip -- giving listeners the imagination of a 24/7 house show that’s still going strong into the wee hours of the morning. Sleep? I never liked her. It's a futuristic and bold artistic choice that sets a unique tone, though a tighter, radio-style intro could have made it even punchier.
Vocally, there’s a distinct Amy Winehouse vibe, which fits the heartbreaking lyrics about attachment to a fading love. While the lyrics themselves, don’t wow me, the dreamy, late-night instrumentation perfectly captures the vibe of winding down -- a perfect last song for any set when you've been playing your heart out, all night.
Alright i see it is still up. I will be calling my entertainment lawyer tomorrow
Hi this is the writer of the song. I would like this entire thing taken down as i never once spoke to anyone on your team. I didn’t pay anyone for a review. I never emailed or asked for a review. I was not told about this review. I own the song and the rights to it and i do not give permission for this company and do not give permission for this company to post or share or review my art. If this is an issue for take down then i will have my entertainment lawyer contact you this week. Thank you
Imani here. This is actually the first comment I’ve ever made on this site (in its 5 years of existence). Haha, so this is cool. Let me address a few things. Since SwanoDown’s inception we have only uplifted and highlighted artists we found were talented and hardworking. Some of the comments made by “anonymous” are purely laced in hatred and lies, quite evidently in its tone, and lack of fact. Along with that, there is not a single follower that we have that was “bought.” Our readership/following is organic and always will be.
This is also one of the most eclectic publications you’ll ever read in terms of genre- Jazz, Rock, HipHop, Opera, Classical piano..
The writing that Buchanan did here was beyond fair, and he speaks highly of the record, with a touch of elegance. Buchanan, a young writer finishes this piece stating: “…a perfect last song for any set when you’ve been playing your heart out, all night.”
He has every right to say the lyrics did not “wow” him. That does not mean this isn’t a great song.
We don’t condone hate here at SwanoDown nor do we spread it.
All Love

I actually went to school with the owner/writer of this company. He was horribly bullied in school hence why he’s so angry. You’d think he’d try to show kindness but nah he’s always been this jealous little bitch. Give a bullied kid a platform to judge others and they will bully them all. He does it to everyone on here. And the best part is he makes music and it’s horrible! I wouldn’t listen to a guy who can’t make good music if he’s criticizing an actual real artists music cuz he’s just jealous. Good thing is I’ve found good artists im a fan of now cuz of this platform so you got a new fan Nikki Buatti!! I checked out your other song and music video for “retreat”? And it was fire!!! This girl is talented. Imani is just a jealous bum ass bitch
The main writer and owner of this company probably wrote this haha! He’s mad angry. He does this to all the artist cuz he’s jealous cuz his music sucks his lyrics suck and his voice sucks so he takes it out on real artists to make himself feel better. This is what this company is known for. Being haters
